UK MOT Checker provides automated MOT history analysis and buyer-focused commentary based on official DVSA data (and DVLA snapshots where shown). The service is information only — not a mechanical inspection, finance check, theft check, or warranty.

• You must use the service lawfully and only for genuine vehicle checks
• You must not scrape, bulk-harvest, or resell our reports without written permission
• You must not attempt to bypass credit limits, security controls, or rate limits
• You are responsible for registrations and data you submit

Where enabled, you receive up to 2 free MOT history checks per calendar day per device or account. Additional checks require prepaid credits purchased via Stripe.

• Paid credits are valid for 12 months from purchase
• Unused paid credits are non-refundable except where required by law
• Re-opening a report for the same registration within 24 hours does not consume another credit where that feature applies
• We may change pack prices or free allowances with reasonable notice on the pricing page

MOT records reflect tests on specific dates. They do not show unreported repairs, accident damage, finance, write-off status, or clocking with certainty. Risk scores and repair cost bands are estimates from rules applied to MOT wording — not guarantees.

Official data is sourced from third-party agencies; delays or outages may affect availability. See data sources.

We may show sponsored links to insurers, inspections, history checks, or other partners. Those services have separate terms. We may receive commission. We are not responsible for partner sites.

The site design, copy, scoring methodology, and branding belong to us or our licensors. You may share report links for personal buying decisions but may not republish bulk data or commercialise reports without permission.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or purchase decisions you make based on our reports. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid credit pack is limited to the amount you paid for that pack in the 12 months before the claim.

We may suspend, modify, or withdraw features for maintenance, legal, or commercial reasons. We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page.

Your use is also governed by our privacy policy and cookie policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your home country if you are a consumer elsewhere in the UK.
